3-Day Juice Cleanse Experience with Modern Juice

Every now and then, I like to challenge myself in ways that aren’t about lifting weights or running miles. Recently, I decided to take on a 3-day juice cleanse with a local company called Modern Juice.

The rules were simple but strict:

  • 3 days
  • 6 juices a day (about every 2 hours)
  • Caffeine was allowed, but no solid food

That’s it. Just me, juice, and a lot of willpower.

Preparing for the Cleanse

I went into this knowing the mental side would be the hardest. Hunger is one thing, but breaking habits and routines is another. Modern Juice made it easier by labeling each bottle 1 through 6, so you know exactly what’s next. Pro tip: these need to be refrigerated, so I recommend organizing them in order when you load them up. It saves time and mental energy when you’re already testing your discipline.

I also decided to only do light workouts during the cleanse, enough to move my body, but not so much that I’d feel like gnawing my own arm off.

The Juices: Day in Review

#1 Shamrock – Kale, Spinach, Pineapple, Orange, Spirulina
A strong, refreshing way to kick off the day. I started mine later in the morning so I could stretch the juices into the evening; a little cheat code that helped me feel satisfied.

#2 Sunshine Punch – Carrot, Pineapple, Apple, Ginger, Orange
Bright, slightly sweet, and energizing. A solid step into the afternoon.

#3 Just Beet It – Beet, Carrot, Apple
Confession: I didn’t think I liked beets. Turns out, I do. This one surprised me.

#4 Lemon Pepper – Water, Lemon, Cayenne Pepper, Honey
Don’t let the simplicity fool you. This one packs a serious zing. It’s light but fiery enough to keep you alert.

#5 Carrot Zinger – Carrot blend with a citrus twist
If you’re aiming for superhero-level eyesight, this is your juice. Personally, I’m not a big carrot fan, so this was my least favorite; but still easy enough to power through.

#6 Protein Power – Almond Mylk, Vanilla Protein, Chia Seeds, Honey
Game changer. Creamy, filling, and absolutely delicious. This one felt like dessert and was hands down my favorite of the lineup.

The Challenge

Overall, Modern Juice made the process simple and straightforward. For me, the hardest part was the evening of the third day. Knowing real food was right around the corner made every commercial, every smell, every thought about food feel amplified.

But I stuck with it.

The Results

At the end of the three days, I was down seven pounds. Beyond the number on the scale, I felt clearer, lighter, and mentally sharper. It wasn’t just about the physical reset; it was about reminding myself that discipline doesn’t only live in the gym. It’s in these quiet, personal challenges too.

Final Thoughts

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. A juice cleanse is not about a quick fix; it’s about pressing pause, refreshing your body, and proving to yourself that you can commit. Modern Juice made it incredibly easy to follow, and honestly, it was a fantastic reset.

Everyone should try something like this at least once. Not just for the cleanse, but for the discipline you build along the way.
